Welcome

Dear Readers,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to A Place Between World. This is a haven between all the business in life. A place to take a break from work, school, social drama and enjoy something that helps distract us even if it us just a little while. For me, that distraction is creative writing. Hopefully, you will find enjoyment and peace in the things I have written.

Who am I?

Hello! Some of you may know me as Undertaker on my previous blog but you can call me Aplabew for now. Don’t worry, I’m not completely sold on the name yet. A-pleh-beu…If you say it fast enough, it kinda sound French. Anyway, let’s get acquainted a little bit before we continue.

I am currently a student at our local Community College. Having no idea what I want to do, I’ve been taking interesting yet random classes trying to find that spark. At the moment, I am living with my mother and don’t currently have a job (for reasons I may discuss at a later time).

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved the artsy things; reading, writing, painting and the whole lot. But as of late, I haven’t been able to really focus on that nearly as much as I would like. That’s why I made A Place Between Worlds. It’s a place that allows me to have an outlet for all my stress. And as time goes on, I hope we can get to know each other a little bit better.

What is this Blog?

This is a place where I get to write my thoughts and stories for others to read and hopefully enjoy. I would also love others who are similarly minded to participate in posting some of their works of art for all to see. I would love for this to be a creative place, full of ideas and potential.

And in an effort to communicate with you all more, I was thinking of a journal kind of deal. I write about what’s going on in my life, in the world, in the community and we can get a conversation going. I’d like to concur both trivial and serious things. I cant wait to see how they go!

Now, the story that I plan to start out with is just a little something to get back into writing. It’s a kind of sci-fi fan fiction. And before you click the ‘back’ button, hear me out. For those of you who know about the Mass Effect video game trilogy know that the new game in the franchise is coming out this year during the holidays. Personally, I’m a big fan so I’m pretty exited. The best way to get back into writing is to write about something you are exited about. The story would take place between the third game and the new one coming out without involving any of the original characters. And don’t worry, not everything on this blog will be fan fiction.

Another thing I would love to have on this blog are guest writers. About once a week, either I, someone I know or one of you, would write up something, anything (let’s say PG13-ish), and have everyone read it. I personally love the idea and  would love to her what you think.

What’s in a Week?

I’ve been working on a tentative schedule of when things are going to get posted. I do know that the first post will be on the fifteenth, February 15, 2016. As that turned out to be Monday, I thought it would be perfect to to start off at the beginning of the week.

• Tuesday: None
• Wednesday: Writers Wednesday when different authors work are posted
• Thursday: None
• Friday: New Chapter of Current Story
• Saturday: None
• Sunday: A Journal Entry and an update on the next week
